Continuing the battle for the Soul Edge, this pack brings back 4 fighters from the Soul Calibur VI: Libra of Souls set with new abilities. New versions of Astaroth, Seong Mi-Na, Tira, and Voldo bring another way to play your favorite character with this Deck-Loadable Content!
The Jolly/Gloomy girl with a murderous bent is the subject of today’s preview!
**Tira** trades away 2 of her symbols in this version to switch things up. This time, she’s rocking the ,
, and
symbols. She does maintain the same hand size and Vitality, however. Tira 2 reminds me a lot of Powers Split, though on a different trigger and with a different cost. She very much wants to stick to a game plan centered around Combo ability Attacks. There’s nothing extremely complicated or intricate about her very versatile abilities. Think about constructing decks wanting to make long strings of low-risk attacks, if only to make use of Tira’s Enhance. Don’t forget, you can commit Tira to pay for the cost of this Enhance, and then use the Response to ready herself.
Remember how I just said Tira probably wants to play long strings of low-risk Combo Attacks? Well, Ibis Minuet helps out with that plan! One of the main reasons there is risk involved in sustained attack turns is Progressive Difficulty. Ibis Minuet removes itself from counting against Progressive Difficulty, With this, she can continue to keep playing more attacks, and thereby play more Combo abilities, and thereby using her Character Response. Also, drawing more cards is always good, too, right?
The first thing that comes to mind when looking at Bird of Death is that Good finally gets another tool to destroy its own Foundations. The effect to gain 1 vitality is good enough, but also being able to get out of Deadlock warrants consideration for inclusion in some decks. A short list of decks in which you will likely see this card include Takeda, Kurama, *Mitsurugi*, **Mitsurugi** and, of course, Tira herself.
The Soul Calibur VI Deck-Loadable Content Pack 2 will include 4, new, playable Characters, 2 copies of an Attack for each Character, and 2 copies of a Foundation for each Character for a total of 20 foil cards.
