Sensei Program
Fellow patrons! UniVersus is proud to announce our very own Sensei Program.
The Sensei Program was designed to help provide support at all levels to tournament organizers & players alike.
The program offers an exciting & new way to reward those who mentor and teach players on how to become champions! Interested in becoming a Sensei for our upcoming release of My Hero Academia Collectible Card Game? Fantastic, you’re in luck! Starting today UniVersus is looking for able bodies to join and climb the ranks of the Sensei Initiative. Interested in understanding more about the rewarding world of becoming a Sensei? Please read below for more details on what awaits you on your journey to becoming a Grand Sensei!
There are 3 levels of Sensei’s that you can aspire to achieve:
White Belt Sensei: Able to Judge:
- Local Hobby Store Sanctioned Events
- Tier 1 Events – PTC (Pro Tour Championships) & Pre-Releases
The exam for the White Belt Sensei is available online and can be found here. Once completed, if the Sensei was successful in there trial they will receive a certificate which allows them to officially be recognized as a judge for The UniVersus Collectible Card Game.
Red Belt Sensei : Able to Judge:
- Local Hobby Store Sanctioned Events
- Tier 1 Events – PTC (Pro Tour Championships) & Pre-Releases
- Tier 2 Events – Regionals & Nationals
The exam for the Red Belt Sensei will ONLY be available on site at Regionals & Nationals during the 2020-2021 season. These trials will be administered by a Black Belt Sensei & will include an in person interview as well as a knowledge based exam.
Black Belt Sensei: Able to Judge:
- Local Hobby Store Sanctioned Events
- Tier 1 Events – PTC (Pro Tour Championships) & Pre-Releases
- Tier 2 Events – Regionals & Nationals
- Tier 3 Events – Worlds
The exam for the Black Belt Sensei will ONLY be available on site at Nationals during the 2020-2021 season. These trials will be administered by a Black Belt Sensei & will include an in person interview as well as a knowledge based exam.
Sensies will have access to some incredible exclusive merchandise and perk via the DOJO STORE Platform. Each Tier of events as well as Official Local Hobby Store Sanctioned events will earn Sensei DOJO points that can be redeemed at any time! More details to come on the exciting and rewarding journey to becoming a Sensie!
That’s not all…Sensei of all levels will have the chance to compete in the GRAND WORLD SENSEI CHAMPIONSHIP! That’s right DOJO points accumulated during the 2020-2021 season will qualify Senseis to participate in this prestigious event held at Worlds 2020-2021 where they will battle it out to become the GRAND SENSEI! Prizes to be announced soon!
Organized Play PTC 2020 Season
UniVersus is right around the corner!
We are pleased to announce that the PTC 2020 applications are now opened. Premier stores have now received emails on how to apply for the new season. If you are a Premier Store and have not received an email, please email opsupport@jascogames.com and they assist you in this matter.
There are many changes that will be coming to the game, and when it comes to the PTC’s, one of those changes is that a Sensei will be required to run the event.
Scouts are encouraged to take the White Belt Sensei exam as they are the community leaders that help grow and teach the next generation of players.
